For UNIT 7 you use the Multispec program to change an unsupervised classification image into a supervised classification image.

Exercise 1-4 takes you through the steps to accomplish this task:

STEP 1 (exercise 1) Display and Inspection: the original image file,

changed to gray scale,

shown side by side in multichannel,

add the latitude and longitude,

and finally change the display to thematic MODIS NVDI

STEP 2 (exercise 2) Image Enhancement: changing the blank space from black 

to white

using the three types of stretching: Linear, Equal area; and Gaussian

and the different ranges: Entire range; 2%; 4%; and 

                              STEP 3 (exercise 3) Unsupervised Classification (Cluster Analysis):

you learn to cluster the images

 and then how to change the color of the classes

STEP 4 (exercise 4)Supervised Classification - Select Training Fields: 

processing and classifying the image 

labeling the fields,

and producing the supervised classification image
